Passionate about sustainable agriculture and rural revival, he aims to turn ideas into action—helping schools, communities, and startups create organic farming projects and cultural spaces.
From concept to reality, he offers fresh perspectives and practical support to make eco-friendly farming and cultural renewal accessible to the next generation.
Ting Zhang
Founder of Man Dou Se in Wuyi Mountain
A modern farmer who left city life to revive abandoned terraces through organic rice farming. Inspired by his mother’s agricultural legacy, he grows rice without chemicals using traditional methods—even coexisting with wild boars and accepting lower yields.
He believes farming can rebuild communities: keeping youth in villages, valuing elders’ wisdom, and reconnecting people to the land. His work shows how meaningful agriculture can make rural areas truly alive again.
Frankie Lui
An architect deeply engaged in the integration of organic farming and rural revitalization through thoughtful design.
As a key collaborator with Man Dou Se, he specializes in transforming abandoned rural structures—such as traditional village schoolhouses—into functional, culturally resonant spaces that serve both farmers and communities.
